Miriam has over 20 years experience in Landscape Architecture and 16 years in Arboriculture. Having worked in both the public and private sectors she has an excellent foundation in landscape assessment, landscape design, landscape strategy and arboriculture with a particular expertise in their application within the planning system. Miriam maintains excellent client relationships and has a reputation for reliability and delivering to deadlines.

Her first 10 years were in the public sector with Cleveland Council, Stockton on Tees Borough Council and York City Council. This provided her with experience of design, contract administration, landscape strategy and the arboriculture within the local planning system with a focus on regeneration, education and the historic landscape.

Miriam became the principal Landscape Consultant for Landscape Planning Group in 2001 (and formally with OCA UK Limited). Responsibilities included the project management of landscape and arboriculture schemes, advising clients at both a strategic level and on detailed matters and representing clients at numerous planning appeals including public inquiries, planning hearings and Local Plan Inquiries.

In 2004, Miriam was invited by Clemson University, South Carolina, to undertake a series of presentations to the university, professional and business community on green space planning in Britain.
